Noora Salaam is the founder of Writing EDEN Publishing House and The Quill Magazine. These are dormant dreams that were birthed after her and many of her colleagues were retrenched just before Covid was announced in South Africa. Noora's main objective for both WE and The Quill is to give a voice to the voiceless, to the marginalized and those who have turned their lives around after tragedy. She is also the owner of the groups Special Needs Quill, which serves a safe space for artists and writers to express their most vulnerable thoughts; and of The Quill, whereby Noora scouts artists, poets and writers for upcoming magazine issues. She is also a mother, and wife who are devoted to her family. Noora is finding the grace of privilege through purpose.
"A Celebration of Life," is a special edition to honur the life of author Santiago Burdon who is in his twilight years. Santiago has lived a 'colorful life' and is now as he calls it, 'a recovering Catholic.'
